The Hub-lift tool allows safe lifting of low access vehicles after deflation of a tyre enabling wheel removal where conventional Jacking systems cannot reach.

Ramrod’s Hub-lift provides a stable platform for a jack to safely lift those vehicles with limited access under the chassis such as easy access PSV’s and other low chassis vehicles. The Hub-lift bolts to the hub face of the vehicle and allows the corner with the deflated tyre to be lifted enough to allow a conventional jack or axle stand to be used whilst the wheel and tyre is then removed.

A large proportion of coaches, buses and trucks have skirts to improve
aerodynamics and aesthetic appearance. General ground clearance is also decreasing because of lower suspension systems and low profile tyres.

When such a vehicle has a puncture, especially on the front tyres, the clearance between the ‘skirt’ and the ground and between the axle/suspension and the ground is virtually nil. This means that it is usually impossible to insert a bottle or trolley jack with which to raise the vehicle and there for remove the wheel to change or repair the tyre.

The Hub-lift External Lifting Device overcomes this problem by allowing the vehicle to be raised from the outside, with no damage to the vehicle and by significantly reducing the possibility of injury to the technician.

Hub-lift is manufactured by Ram-rod Manufacturing Ltd and features a two-piece, slot together design which is engineered in steel. It has a unique ‘pivot system’ ensuring the bottle jack (and there for the lifting force) remains vertical even if the wheel/axle geometry changes.

The Hub-lift has a Safe working load of 7500kg and supports axles safely, allowing blocks or axle stands to be put in place eliminating damage to wheel, hub or suspension components.
As well as a pending patent, the Hub-lift is CE compliant and conforms to L.O.L.E.R. Lifting Accessory regulations.
